The OPERATOR - OPR8 Adjustable Iris
Introducing The OPERATOR.
The OPERATOR is an adjustable iris that screws on to the front of your objective lens. A simple turn allows you to quickly reduce the size of the aperture, reducing the amount of light allowed to pass through to the objective lens and increasing your depth of field. When paired with a night vision device such as a PVS-14, it allows you to have a much larger depth of field in high light environments, allowing objects both close up and further away to be in focus without having to adjust your objective lens.
Each OPERATOR comes included with either a ballistic rated polycarbonate insert on the front, or anti-reflective glass. If you are primarily going to be using the OPERATOR for training or recreational force-on-force activities? We recommend the polycarbonate insert. If you are using this device professionally in the field? The glass option provides a good balance of light transmission while protecting your device from dust and debris.
Each OPERATOR is also threaded on the front to accept standard lens inserts, so standard polycarbonate lenses, LIF Filters and more. If it already fits on your device? You can fit it on the OPERATOR.
Each OPERATOR is sold as a single unit. If you want to use it on binocular devices? Buy two.
The OPERATOR is compatible with optical assemblies that have an industry standard 30mm threading on the objective lens. Units include any device using PVS-14 style glass, such as:
